Best known for its famous Lugana, Zenato also makes a range of Veronese wines including Soave Classico sourced from the Colombara vineyard just north of Calvarino. A firm believer in a positive role for international grapes in the future of Veronese wines, Zenato uses up to the full 30% of chardonnay grapes allowed under DOC regulations to give tone and structure to the blend. The main focus, however, seems to be on expressing the unique mineral characters associated with wines of volcanic origin to supplement the fresh, floral tones of this delicious medium-bodied white.
Notitie 1:'Balanced pear, apple and even a touch of mirabelle plum fruit. Finishes with stony notes.' Notitie 2:'Fresh and zingy; subtle almost ethereal floral aromas. Fresh, medium weight palate with sweet, ripe, herbal toned fruit flavours. Hints of peach and saffron. Lighter style but very pretty.' Notitie 3:'Elegant, mineral and light bread, parsley perfume. Fresh with lovely purity of fruit. Stunningly well-made wine.' Drinken:2012-2016. Alcohol 12,5%

Nu 2x geproefd. Sta versteld van de mooie balans in de wijn. Er zit geen enkele 'stekeligheid' in de wijn. Werkelijk gaaf gemaakt. Zeer lange afdronk met prachtige fruittonen. Absoluut een topper in zijn soort. De moeite waard!
